I've put out a couple of wordpress themes recently, and was wondering: how often do you keep the same them on your blog?

I don't change mine very often, even though it's very easy to. I prefer to stick with something I like.

I selected "Rarely or Never" because I'll better modify my current theme, rather than keep changing the look of my blog.

IMO, it's not a professional behavior to keep changing themes more often.

    I agree.
Theme or domain name is something that clicks on people mind when they read or think about you.
    its your identity. IMO

I change colors every day, and my stats are growing.
I change them to match the logo of the post, or the banner promotion of the day.
I will continue to do so.
The day I changed to pink was my best traffic day ever.

Of course I have never been one to follow the group, and every blog is different, or at least should be.
I try to distance myself from any other blog that is even close to the same subject matter as mine.
I have never believed in following...how do you stand out?

I wouldn't do it for a business blog, or anything serious, this is entertainment.
My blog has to feel like a party, or why do it?

I keep things mostly the same and only change when I figure out something new that could improve it - even then I don't overhaul the entire look but gradually ease it in.

I've never thought of a color scheme having any affect whatsoever on traffic. How is that even related?

Rarely or never, that's my choice. Imagine DP changing themes monthly, it's like having to get used to a new website every once in a while, it's like changing identities which I am not sure is a good move for an established website.

Adjustments are ok, improvements are fine, too. But radical theme changes, I'd say No to that.

I rarely or never change my wordpress themes because then all the SEO I've done on my site becomes useless if you change your theme regularly ;)

Well, changing theme on a high traffic website certainly means extended work if you want to make sure it won't affect the visitors negatively. Changing themes for the sake of satisfying your own preferences may be a wrong move. Always think of your site's visitor first.

Ah I see. Since you are Wordpress fan, a huge one I guess, then you are probably referring to WP themes. I've done around 10 of them during the last few days, and it was taking me an average of 2 hours to complete one.

Not that much, and the templating engine of WP is quite flexible for that kind of purpose, yet I don't see a serious reason why a website should keep changing themes. Get a good one, and stick to it. Fine touches are ok, but not complete redesign, I would say.
