For me I blog daily on my website and have a blog diary that I stick to. I will write my weekly posts once a week and then my husband will schedule them all for the week ahead. We find that what is important is that you stick to a time to blog so that your readers and google get used to when you are going to add fresh unique content.
There is no any rule of posting content; you can post it as per your requirement, either everyday or an alternative day. I suggest posting at least 10-15 content within a month, then after you can post one or 2 content every week to take a break and maintain your blog.
I am aiming to post at least four articles a month to my primary blog, and maybe two articles a month to my secondary blogs.
I search for some important keywords in my niche on Google and I study how often the competitors post. And also I search for the quality level they post, usually more quality is less post per week. I try to have the same quality and same post timing, if not better quality. In the first period, while the blog is growing in visits I spend more time sharing and increase visits, when the blog is working I spend more time in quality and posting.
Every other week is likely too little if you are trying to build a repeat audience. I'd recommend at least 3 posts per week, if not more. There have been studies that prove that more regular posts bring in regular traffic. It's also important to consider the quality of your posts. Don't post daily if the quality will suffer. Definitely spend the time to edit and refine each post.
