I think it says "This post was guest blogged by Juuso of Business Voodoo." in the beginning of that article...

...besides, that article at John Chow is different article: it's a modified version of this.

    All written by me. :)

yeh.. good post. Really just common sense but good value to novices.

I agree with most of it other than the emphasis on setting a target. Targets are good and you should have general goals in mind, but spending too long procrastinating and muddling with specific goals will only slow you down. I think the goal should be GET LOTS OF TRAFFIC, period. No need to set a specific number, because you should never put a limit on your ambition.

Hmm... I actually think there perhaps should be a specific number. The reason I think that a fuzzy goal is difficult to reach. When can you say you have got "lots of traffic"? Is that 100 uniques per day? 100,000 uniques?

I believe it's good to get a big number (10,000 monthly for example) in the beginning, and when you've reached that, aim higher - take 100,000. After you reach that - start working on 1M. etc.

What's better adding regular pages or sub pages? Lets say i wanted to optimize a search phrase like "dating site". Should I make every page have the phrase "dating site' in it? Like dating site review, best dating site, etc?

Boogie Nights, I'm no SEO expert so I cannot tell for sure, but I have some recommendations. I'm using a blog and adding blog posts (which are then archived) and that has worked fine for me.

I believe it's not neceessarily have certain phrase on every page, but I'm sure it would help to use H1 and TITLE tags to display key phrase in your pages (so basically your article/page headline should be keyword rich). It's more important to get somebody else to link to your using certain keywords.

If you write an article about cars and title it like "blue porche cars and why you should own one" - then if somebody links to you, you will most likely get the "right" keywords in the link anchor text. And if it's your article title, then you should also have H1 and TITLE tags ready for search engines.
