    hey,

    i have some questions,
how did u managed to get traffic only from Canada, US, UK and Australia, with the amount of traffic you have i would expect the traffic to come from all around the world, plus 54% of your traffic comes from search engines, can you provide further tips (about SEO) to get to the point you are right now?

Currently steady 1100+, will hopefully reach that mark soon ;)

Not sure how much that newsletter will benefit you (as it's mainly for game developers), but hopefully it will :)

Well, I hang out in places were US/UK people hang out ;) Game developer scene is probably more active in those areas, than in other parts of the world.

Well, here's couple of threads (I started) you might want to check out:

    Nice work GP :)

I really like how you are approaching this and if you continue to work at it you will continue to succeed.

Instead of just looking for short cuts to get quick traffic you are experimenting more thoroughly which is paying off - you are also doing something which so many people miss - thinking about how to make your website better for readers (e.g the group interviews). People put up crap and expect traffic - it rarely works like that.

Also like your point about controvertial topics - it is a very good method which I've used successfully before. When I gave the advice of having the opposite opinion on a popular topic to get traffic people called me an idiot - but it really does work if you can back up your opinions with a solid argument.

Thanks for the update. Sounds like things are going well for you. I am curious though about social bookmarking. Our target audience are 50-60 year old men for our main products. Is sb geared more for the younger folks. Just wondering if its a good medium for us or not. Any input appreciated. Thanks!

    Thanks for the comments guys.

Yep, correct. The "Big Ugly Secret" I have is that I enjoy doing this. And when that happens... rest is quite easy.

    That's pretty much it.

I suppose it's for younger audience - on average. But I've seen more not-so-young-anymore-people logging in messenger, using discussion forums, having facebook accounts... so I think it could be an option. I suppose it also depends on your niche.

Perhaps you should test it? :)
