I would give 7 out of 10 points for your directory. You can use a good theme for the directory.

Do you really want a review? You should post it in website reviews section. If you want to just promote the directory and get submissions, you don't need to pretend asking for a review. Post it in solicitations section.

    My review:

    1. Design: standard template, nothing unique
    2. Active Links 0, pending links 0 - a directory is built by links
    3. 3515 subcategories - looks like a category dump

I am not being harsh but I will give your directory some negative points. Your directory is not ready for a review yet :)

    What the heck is this?

You are asking us to review your design when you are using a template and the default phpld logo? Why? And your directory is going to fail miserably if you plan on using a category dump. If you can't spend a few hours building your own category structure, then you definately don't need to run a directory. It takes alot of work to build a directory...so either put in the time needed or quit now.

I'm guessing this guy really didn't want reviews (since there is nothing to review) and was soliciting submissions. So I'm red repping for posting in the wrong forum.

I'd already come to the same conclusion... and somebody with 5000+ posts knows this isnt the Reviews forum... so I beat you to the red-rep. It's bad enough we have newbies that dont read the rules without having experienced members break them intentionally.

If you want a site review post it in the proper area.

    Since you originally asked for

My comment is Any spam site approving a listing that has a title filled with keyword SPAM like this one.

has no business calling themselves anything but a link farm.

Sorry for the harshness but YOU posted this garbage here rather than the proper area and with your rep you should know better.

Well in a sense, you all are right, I would have gone for the review section. Sorry about that but I needed tips not about the template but about the directory. Anyways, thank you all for your time :)

The design is great--very crisp and easy on the eyes. But, the front page feels cluttered somehow. I think it's because you have a column on the left that lists the categories, but the same information is given in the main column (where the sub-categories are listed). Having the categories menu appear on the right when the user clicks through to an individual category would still be a good idea though.

It might be a good idea to move the link statistics up from the bottom of the page to the top. When visiting a directory site, I automatically look at the number of sites listed in each category to see if it's active. Having that information closer to the top may prove that to the visitor sooner.

One last thing: I noticed a lot of categories that are filled with other categories and nothing else. I don't think this should raise the number listed beside each category in parentheses--this is usually always meant to indicate the number of sites listed inside each, and only websites (not children categories).
