If you had a site that makes about $45-$65 a day how much is it possible to sell it for? I was just wondering because my site makes that much and i was wondering how much i can sell it for. Im not going to sell it, but im just wondering. The site gets about 10,000 HITS not unique a day. Thanks
most site can be sold for 12-18 month revenue, depend on it potential In your case it will be low 45*30*12=16200 to high 65*30*18 = 35100.. but for this high price sale you have to have strong prove on your revenue...
that's cool, try www.dnforum.com, ppl there have the money to make you a good offer. And you should use escrow for this amount of money
that 's a service that's intent to protect the seller and buyer, kind of like insurance for online trading. If any side void the transaction (not payment received/ domain not transfer after payment), escrow will take care of it
Calculate your monthly earnings and multiply it by 10. That amount is the minimum that you can sell your site for. That's excluding any other details such as design, coding, and hosting.
I think we're all forgetting how it really works. It's worth anywhere from 10 to 18 months profit, sure. But are you really going to get 10 to 18 months profit for it? Not always. Cheaper sites tend to demand more of a value than the more expensive sites do, simple because more people are in the running for it. Look around on the forums at sites that bring in a few grand a month that have sold in the past 9- days. They didn't go for $32k, I can tell you that much.
In the end, it is really a willing buyer-willing seller arrangement which would set the price. The higher the price, the more the gamble the new owner would have to take when acquiring the site. The lower it is the less risk and thus you could expect more interests in it. Remember that if you price it is 10 to 18 times the monthly income, the new buyer would have to wait that time frame or longer to recoup their cost. I would assume anyone buying it over would indeed need to make changes, add manpower to run it and all the other advertising cost. It is possible that one might expect to take maybe 2 or 3 years before being able to see some positive cash flow. Also you need to consider if the income you get is gross or net and what are you selling, what are your overheads ? Incidentally, it all depends on the content of the sites and whether you are an important part of its growth ? Because some sites such as blogs where the owner is the main content provider and if he would sell it to a new party, the atmosphere would be different and may not draw in the same crowd and may just die off.
