Hi, I'm not php programmer, in fact I don't think I will ever learn in a short period of time, but i know some html, ftp.. the basic things.
I would like to have a website with the next services.

    1. register users
    2. Each user should be able to upload a picture(only one).
    3. Users can pm each other.
    4. Forums

I know this sounds like a "rate my ..... .com" but its not.

Ok, so whats my question, how much do u think i have to pay for that ? I know it depends on what type of programmer or company but what do you think?

If I had to give you a quote on that:

    1,2,3: $500 would cover it
4: get an open source package to do that stuff, get it tuned to use your existing user database for another 100.

I will second that. In fact, if you ever need to hire a programer, look no further than my signature :)

$500 seems a bit much to me..
I don't think it's that hard to code all that..

Is it a custom form or a Vbulletin install? If its a custom around $5000 for all.

    Thats my 2 cents.

If i was to do it i would use a similar approach to what frankm suggested. 1,2,3 would be custom coded and i'd use a third party forum and link it together with the user system.

Whole job would be about £230 ($400). This of course only covers the code and doesnt take in account for any design requirements.

Why not just use a forum, like what some have suggested? Any good forum can do all of those features.

I have made a similiar script before, the picture it lets you upload is user picture and displayed on their page. If you are interested, i can customize, sell and install you a copy of the script for about $50

Have a look at the php script I am using at www.stylejudge.com !! It's an off the shelf script. I am not associated with the developer, but you can pm me and I can PM you the link of the company/websuet from where you can buy it. It works good for me.
