What are the usual prices on DP to get someone to submit your site to x,xxx directories and social networking sites? And is it worth it? Do you know any other things that would help drive more traffic than submitting to directories and social networking sites?

    Thanks!

There are basically two answers to this. Cheap and expensive.

The cheap way. You can probably pay someone on here $10 and they'll claim to submit your link to 100s or 1000s of sites. In reality, it's hard to know if they're telling the truth. But even more importantly, the sites they are submitting to are most likely going to be rubbish.

The expensive way. If you wanted someone to submit your site to 100s or 1000s of good directories it will cost a lot more. It's manual labour and it would take many hours. And paying them $10 for let's say 20 hours of work wont cut it.

I recommend doing it yourself mainly because there aren't 1000s of good directories. Also, a lot of directories want you to pay to get a "good" link, yet these directories probably don't get more than 100 visits a day.

I agree, do it yourself to a handful of great sites. If you pay the $10 you prob wont get anything worth $5...

you have to figure if you are still working at a job x hours a week at x per hour then you have to put in the time no matter if you pay someone or not. So might as well do it yourself and make sure they are into the correct directories for sure.

do it yourself. Get a good playlist going and jam out while posting to the directories

I paid someone to submit my site to ~800 directories, I don't know if it was automated or not, but it costed $15 and I got a PR2... I don't know if that's good or bad (he said the links would be from PR4+ sites but that wasn't true).

Do you think PR2 is worth 15 bucks?

Never pay before you get the results. I can see so many complains. Submitting a site to 1000 directories would definitely cost more than 10$.

I doubt anyone will do the work and then wait for results.

Ask them to provide a list of directories that they will submit to. Follow-up with the linkdomain command in yahooo to see the results. That's probably as good as it is going to get.

You dont need to submit to 1,000 directories and social networking sites! If you dont want to do it your own then you can spend some money but only at the main directories and social sites. That way you will also can check if the submission was real or not.
