How much your directory is actually worth if you are sellling it.

I also thought of selling my Page Rank Directory before the update if it attained PR5 as I was expecting with so many high PR backlinks But it managed only PR4

I thought of getting around -2/3 K if it became PR5 with almost all categories being PR5 (as they are PR4 now) --but now I have decided not to sell it anymore and started developing its quality.

I have decided not to buy any more high PR backlinks for it because it is already as strong as any normal PR5/6 directory gets ( not talking about top dogs--they are way too strong). I am concentrating to increase its PS now and hopefully --by end of June it will achieve that target

 

I had a same experience this time. But I am looking forward to bump that PR 4 to PR 6 in this update. Now I am also mad at PR

 

It's very hard to get PR6 from PR4. I had a similar problem with My Green Corner, and now it's only a PR5.
Anyway, I would now give my directory for less then 20k in my hand...

my directory www.cascandra.com earn $3000 - $4000 / month with strong pr6 and cheap submission values.
i hope worth about over 30k

 

Would not consider to sell my directory unless I have more important to do.

The value is not only depending on how much you earn now, what's more, you should know how much it will earn in future.

i have only 1 directory and i had work hardly for make this

currently my directory located #22 - 35 on google with web directory keyword and i get daily over 1.7k unique hits and 54k alexa rank and over 107k yahoo backlinks Finally google give me pr6 and i earn daily about 100$.
i said i have only one directory so this is my baby

You gotta think how long is that going to last with such cheap submissions. Your categories will fill up pretty fast so what might look better in the short run, you might regret later on.

 

WOW amit you are so lucky that you have such a Great directory.
I wonder If some one have pr3 directory with few backlinks and no revenue , how much it worth?

I would say that it is better to value your site by one year profit rather then monthly income.

I for example, sell sidelinks for one year so one month I can have $xxxx income and one month $xxx

Then I would take the yearly profit (after all the ads you buy) and add 25% and this the real value of your directory.

 

Why 25%? Why not more or less?

 

I guess its just one of his comfort level... 25%...

 

Maybe there is a small secret formula somewhere with the 25% included...

Affordablity comes with quantity.... and its possible that people are actually buying more featured links... My 2 pence..

 

Well you might have someone that thinks your is the next best thing to
the invention of the wheel or really like the domain name so technically
you could ask $5,000 or More and someone might bite... just depends i suppose
on the person whos looking to buy and for what reasons and if they feel its worth it to them ....
