Hey guys, I'm thinking about setting up a professional content creation service which sells to some big industry clients, however it would be a brokerage type thing, where work would be funneled through to US based content creators. So I'm wondering, you who are from the US or any native English country (UK/CAN/AUS/NZ), how much would you expect to be paid per 100 words? Ideally, I would have enough writers to fulfill all orders with each writer getting perhaps 1500 words per day or so. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated!
It's rare to find talented writers who will write for 100 words. It's more like around 300-500. For the typical-size article, this can range from between $15-20, on up to and many times $50. If you don't want to spend a whole lot, I'd suggest finding articles churned out by cheap content farms, like Digital Media (Studios), and then contacting the writers. USA Today's site has a section on Travel Tips, as an example. It is comprised of nothing but Digital Media articles. You could start there. But, be warned, if the articles are too short, empty, vague, and not original, like many of the content-farm type articles are, it will be that much harder to make money.
depends entirely on the subject i guess... I know that if I was writing casino or bingo content, then I could charge the client more than say a hairdressers website...
The cost of per word article writing has been significantly altered due to the number of 'writers' that have proclaimed that they are the best and that they can produce results that will blow your mind. The grim reality is that often, the quality of even US/UK writers can be shocking too. Finding a writer who's work you don't have to check each and every time that they submit is rare and i have been known to have been paid as much as $0.07 per word for some of the work that i have done in the past. The charge per word rate for writers is not a set amount, it is more down to personal preference and the quality of their output. Premium writer = Premium rate
It really depends on the subject and research involved, if any. My niche is medical content, so I spent a considerable amount of time researching articles to ensure every fact I list is completely accurate. I don't charge less than $19.99 per 350 words, however.
All orders are negotiable in my view and its hard to put out a generalized price. But I'd say you should expect to pay anywhere from $12-$25 per 300-500 word article depending on factors like the amount of research required, whether not it is part of a bulk order or if the order involves rewrites instead of casting original content. Some orders can run higher. I don't try to be the cheapest... there is plenty of that here. You have to pay a fair price, but in return I provide the highest quality content that is well-researched and relayed in an original and engaging voice. Oh, and there's that whole grammatically correct part - my clients love that I compose complete and coherent sentences and their readers do too. With my work, you're not going to have pay someone else to rewrite it before you can publish. That is something you can look forward to if you go the cheap route. I also offer editing services, so I can help you there too if that is your choice. But why not just do it right the first time?
i think you can find good writers for much cheaper...at $2-$5 for 500+ word articles... i would NEVER pay $20 or higher for articles honestly...i find cheap article writers can be good as well...
If you want decent writers plan on paying them the minimum at $15 per 500 words. They usually stick with you for life if you pay them decent.
Well you have to pay a considerable amount. If you want good quality content. It is true that you can get content for just 2-5$ as well if you want premium quality then you have to pay more.
I'm in the UK and I charge $0.03 per word. I'm sure a lot of people here charge similar amounts, but more in a lot of cases. If you want to find quality writers, I'd skip the DP marketplace as the majority of people advertising there do not offer a very good service.
This is not an WTB post in the market place. It is a general post about what rates people should charge.
Newsflash, just because someone is US/Canadian/etc (native speaker) doesn't mean they know how to speak their own language. I'm from Canada and more than half of my class had problems with spelling. )))))))
