the other day i registered a new domain for google's new web browser: chrome. I am planning on developing it and promoting google new browser, yet I was wondering how much you would pay for the domain alone:

Probably whatever legal fees you incur after google sues you over trademark violations. So maybe -xx,xxx at the very least.

 

Yeah. I'd be trying to get any amount of money, as soon as possible, to get my name off the WHOIS

 

Legal trade mark issues but there are people who buy such domains try to find them.List it at sitepoint or here at DP you may get it sold.

Trade mark issues are inevitable if the site becomes popular. I saw recently vast amounts of domains containing the word ''chrome'' deleted.
Of course, there will be buyers for it, with the aim of a quick profit from the traffic. Buy the way how muck traffic is it receiving.
