How much would you pay for PSD to CSS/XHTML?

I am looking to offer PSD to CSS/XHTML services and am curious how much would you pay?

    Keep in mind
    - The designs would be sliced and optimized to save page loading time.
    - The code would be CSS and XHTML validated for cross-compatibility
    - I am looking to charge on a "per PSD" basis; those who would be willing to pay on this basis might submit complex designs. Please don't assume that this will be a simple task of coding.

This is for market research. I want to see what people think a reasonable price would be.

    Thank you very much!

Maybe $50 for an average difficulty layout.

It looks like similar projects on GetaFreelancer.com are going for $30-$100

That depends on your level of expertise.

Excellent browser support and testing (IE5+ all mainstream windows browsers, Mac browsers) semantic CSS, knowledge of microformats, accessibility, usability, alignment, understanding of XHTML (e.g. what's application/xhtml+xml?), ability to read the w3c specifications when you get stuck, knowledge of advanced CSS, ability to workaround new problems in an efficient and effective way.

It can take upto 10 hours to do a design so think about what it's worth to you, how good you are, what after service support you're offering, do you have to pay for the business? I've had jobs that worked out at around £30/hr to as low as £6.

My company will soon be charging around $360 for the first page to business' in the UK (around £200). Aiming to earn around £20/hr, but I'm very good at what I do.

Depence on difficulty of the layout. A freelancer will probably cost $ 50,-...

Some people do this cheap ($20-100/template), some people charge a more market-reasonable price. A buddy of mine does a lot of template work, and you can't get a design from him for less than $5k. Plan on spending $5-10k if you want it coded. He creates layouts with that great an impact for some very high profile customers.

So, who's your audience, how much are you worth, and how extensively will you support your products in the future? If you're good, I can see charging $1k+ for each template as an independent contractor.
