    Dear Gents/Ladies,

I am in the process of acquiring a travel affiliate website with a confirmed income from a travel related affiliate platform of $17,300 in the last 24 months.

How much would you be prepared to pay for it?? What do you think is the true value of it?

What ROI would you expect for your money and at what time frame?

The website has Google PR4 with around 3.000 to 4.000 visitors a months. In the summer months it picks up to 6.000 - 8.000 visitors.
The costs associated with running the website is around $50 a month.

I will let you know the name of the website when the transaction goes through and hosting has been transferred to me. Hopefully within the next two weeks.

Your honest feedback would be highly appreciated. No time wasters please.

    Regards
    Nectarios

The usual value of a site like this is going to be 1-2x annual revenue. That's the best metric I can give you.

Thank you for your replies Gents.

I am working on a similar formula. On top of that, I have priced in the brand value as it attracts private advertising as well. That's an extra 10% revenue on top of the affiliate income but it has the potential to go a lot higher. Affiliate income is what keeps the website alive and makes it attractive for a buy out but the brand value can take it to another level. I have my work cut out for me!!

I am the Buyer not the Seller, and it is a private deal B2B. Cheers

    Any more comments, valuations, feedback?

    Regards

Hi Tomcat705, I have not received your PM yet.

    Anybody else?

Hosting is getting transferred as we speak, a few more things need to be transferred and hopefully soon I would be able to announce the name of the website.

In the mean time please feel free to pop in with your feedback on this. Any ideas and suggestions are welcome.

In the near future I would be doing some white SEO to rank the website higher on Google. Can you help? Any suggestions?

    Regards

This a update to my post above. After just 12 months of running the website and $6.252 in paid commission and around $1.200 in private advertising I am happy to say that this project has worked out well for me.

Even thought due to work commitments with my day job I have only spent a very limited time and resources on promoting the travel affiliate website. I believe that with more time devoted on updating the content of the website and some smart SEO it could easily get up to $1000 monthly passive income from commission and private advertising.

Any suggestions or tips on how to promote the travel affiliate website are most welcome. If you had your own experience with travel affiliate websites please give us your feed back. I have just recently added the website to Yahoo Directory and I have already started seen some positive sings. I have also submitted to DMOZ directory but, I don't hold my breath on it.

Some of you will have already recognised the sign in page of the affiliate and yes, it is hotels combined.

How would you rate this results?

Your feed back will be highly appreciate.

    Regards

Mysteriox, yes we do have Facebook fan page with almost 800 followers. As well as a Twitter account & Pinterest account. It's part of the Social Media optimisation that we have done. A lot of work still needs to be done on-line and offline but we are getting there...slowly.

We have also recently submitted to Yahoo Directory and a small but a noticeable improvement taken place in our Google ranking but this should be more obvious when the next Google PR update takes place next month. As at the moment the link from the Yahoo Directory it doesn't come up on the Google links results when you type the "link:XXXX-XXXX.com" attribute on the Google search. We have been told to wait until the next Google update to takes place to get the full impact/juice from the Yahoo directory link.

Your feed back Gents/Ladies will be highly appreciated.

    Regards

As first poster said, usually 1.5 to 2x annual revenue, it looks like they are using hotels combined affiliate system and if correct with your traffic/leads it should be ok, but beware with HC, if too much traffic on your website and not enough leads, they might shut your account, if site is truly established, it should not be a problem and payment are more than correct

    Wow, that's great man!

I've always thought about buying into an established website on flippa or something but I thought I'd rather invest my time in learning a thing or two about marketing first :p

    Well done
