So-- why should they be treated specially? I am still not clear--about the question? I think --it will be good to get a link from a .edu site. But I am looking for answers if these sites boost your PR or PS if you have their links in your directory! I have created a category in my directory and populated it with 2 .EDU sites from my country including the University I went to While PR is quite few days away--I think I could get the results in PR after they get cached. Let me just do this experiement!
I don't think it will but a link coming from them would certainly pass on weight. Let me know what happens on your Chemistry Experiment and I'll do the same.
You will not get any pr benifit from having high pr links inside of your directory. PR only comes from inbound links, the only advantage to having high pr links listed in your directory is that it looks good and some site owners like to have their site listed next to high authority websites so although it may help with submissions it will do nothing in terms of pr.
Don't worry about that I'll check my PS next Sunday and let you know ( hope Googlebots find those listing by then )
Thanks Buddy-- I know PR is possible only if you get links from other sites (I purchased 16PR5, 14 PR4 and 4 PR6 links for my directory during last 3 weeks and hoping that it will give me strong PR5) But I am also looking ways to increase PS-- because I think PS is as important as PR
