How much would you pay for a PR9 domain or a PR10 domain?

It depends on where the backlinks are coming from.

As much as I could afford without becoming bankrupt and having to resort to prostitution - anyone who tells you otherwise is fibbing!

Good answer :) What if it has 4 backlinks from high PR sites with no other outgoing links and not high traffic.

:p and what range is that, money wise?

Are they really that fantastic? I would think that unless you own the content that's already linked all over the place and have things at the same address, your back links would diminish over time thus reducing your PR.

I'm probably wrong, but some explanation would be nice.

Even if I want to very much I don't think I have the money to purchase a pr9 or pr10 domain.

I'd sell whatever possessions I own and buy it?

I don't know, in a figure, atleast $10K, only because I'm 17, and can't afford much more right now.
