http://www.talksoccer.net Gets 140,000k unique visitors a month on the whole site Has a 350k posts in the forums With 3000 members(we deleted 3000 as they didnt post) We are pr5 We also are about 85,000 on alexa but should be higher as its not updated. The revenue we just started so not totally sure. Just a question as i had to ask as i recently recieved a good offer for the website.
Intresting, i got a lower offer currently. I dont have any plans to sell it, but just thought it be interesting to know how much it is worth lol.
I would judge it as worth $1000. I think there are domains on sale that are extremely overpriced, and there must be some very disappointed domain sellers too.
And the thing is, we have advertisers with the site. So the more articles you submit the more hits you would get possibly can get 200,000+
I think i can increase the hits too possibly 200k a month in time for the world cup. The thing is bandwith is a bloody joke, i kill about 100gb-150gb every month. Am i right in saying this site is well worth over $20k?
Monthly revenue * 18 = What the site is worth. The community is real helpful, but if it only costs you money it's not of much use.
Wiht that much posts id expect more than 1 user to be online though. :| Its worth around 12-18 times your monthly revenue.
Maybe that was just a blip - im seeing 9 members and 49 guests online now! gl if you do decide to sell it though
The thing with the revenue is we only started it recently, we dont have any idea how much it makes and wont know exactly for at least a month or two. What could occur in this situation as i feel with 140k unique hits there is a lot of revenue to be made possibly $1000 a month?
There is really no way to get an accurate number of revenue without actually trying. You can make almost any situation look real good on paper, but you won't know until you try to monetize the site. A site with 2 years reveue figures is worth more than a site with 2 months. Forums generally have extremely low CTR's and I see you are running ads already so I don't know why it would take 2 months to get an idea of what it makes - you should have a pretty good idea after a week. You won't get a proper valuation on traffic alone - it really comes down to how much money it makes after expenses, how much work it requires, and how long of a track record does the site have producing that revenue. Edit: You do mean 140K unique visitors not "hits" as in your last post, right?
