How much does it cost to have a custom shopping cart so that I don't have to pay a shopping cart fee each month?

I think it's more of a yearly fee.

How much would i have to pay the coder to make it? It would be a one time fee. It would be a regular shopping that accepts credit cards. (like visa, mastercard, etc)

well you can get many carts out there for free if you have basic web design knowlege, the monthly fee would only be your hosting costs, and also your payment processing costs but if yo use paypal the fee is taken from each sale, there are lots of diff options out there. best to shop around and if you need any help or advice, thats what us guys are for.

Most hosts provide professional ones for free

I think they might have a little company branding involved though

X-Cart is one of the better ones, that's about $200 for a licence with no recurring fee

oscommerce has worked well for me, if you have cpanel its a one click install, or if you have a little php knowledge you could find a templated version and install that.

Theres a good oscommerce community forum and lots of free contributions. if you go down the oscommerce route send me a pm and ill let you know what the best contributions are to install before you start promoting the store.
