How much would a site like this cost?

    Hi guys,

I would love to get a site like this set up.
    http://www.rawfoodlife.com

I came across it one day and I really liked it. How much would a website like that cost to develop from start to finish?

You liked THAT?? Such past-century websites aren't made anymore, with an exception or two. No serious business will want a design like that, just my 2 cents.

I actually did like that site. I want an ecommerce site like that, with which I can easily add articles and other content too.

get a designer/ coder from here to run the site from an open source ecommerce script and this should not cost you much more than $300 The price of course depends on your final requirements.

It is quite a cool site with content, images and videos. I can see why you would like it. As soon I opened the site, the first thing I saw was the header with the raw vegetables which summed up that the site was all about raw food. So full marks there.

I would say roughly $320 mark.

I can make a Wordpress theme like that for a low price. It is the best script for blogs and sites to make posts.
Let me know if you are interested, i have a team of 4 designers and coders to do this project.

My last 7 years of experience have made me believe that, there isn't any universal 'beautiful'. So, I appreciate your feeling for this site, but you can always go for other available sources as well. I can get you your ideal design which would surely suit your e-commerce venture. PM me if you need any further consultation!

I would not pay anyone to design something like that. You could instead just install 1 of the million free wordpress themes around (of which 99% of them will be better designed & developed than that site)

Of course, but for a site of that standard, a free WP theme is sufficient.

I wouldn't necessarily agree here. For a small business, keeping costs low is one of the primary objectives that lead to success. I personally think that using Wordpress with a simple theme and a few simple e-commerce modules would be the perfect solution in this gentlemans case.

I would be able to put something like this together for about $75, given that he provide the hosting and such.
