I didnt feel right posting it in the BST, since I'm not buying/selling. What would a name like A5B.org be worth? How do you determine the worth of a 3-letter domain?
ya go here http://www.3character.com/priceguide.html it says regfee, but your's has some descent letters
a5b.org would be worth reg fee... unless a 5 b was short for something... remember.. the domain is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.. it'd be worth 0 to me... but someone who runs a company like "alpha 5 bricks" might be interested in it, ya know
haha, that would be an AWESOME name for a brick company, lol I would buy them even if I didn't need any :O
Dont follow http://3character.com/priceguide.html Just go to http://www.dnforum.com i've generally see people selling normal 3 letter domains for 5k aprox.
That's because if you look at 3character.com it says MINIMUM PRICE not that is the set price for selling them.
first, there is a difference between 3character domains and 3 letters domains characters = numbers+ letters follow this site http://3character.com/priceguide.html and i have found it fairly accurate.
.org not much really unless the .com of domain is well established with lot of traffic, if there is no revenue then no one really feels to buy the domain unless you have an organisation with those 3 letters.
IMHO, the only LLL worth acquiring at this point are .com, .net, .mobi, .org, and .info. I wouldn't consider putting down much for other extensions.
What is selling now are the LL.com (10k -55k) NN.com (havent seen a sale recently) LLL.com (1000-50k a few higher) LLL.net (200 to 5k) NNN.mobi (300-2K) L-L.com (800-5k) N-N.com (1500-8k) N-L.com (800-1800) L-N.com (800-2000) NLN.com (150-500) LNL.com (110-400) LL.cc with premium letters at (120 to 1k) LLL.mobi (120-400) LLL.org (100-300) NNN.info (100-300) Those are the big ones I have seen on the posts and resellers (sedo moniker etc) Just pulling info from memory.
First and formost, let me inform you that a domain name should make sence to people as it represents your type of website. If it makes no sense to people, then whats is the use of such a name. Also, in my opinion, .com is much better than .org
the letter .coms domains go for around 3k if they are all letters. If other characters are mixed in, their value dimishes
I've seen this around the forum alot... People! NUMBERS are NOT LETTERS. You have a 3 CHARACTER domain.
I have always been in diaagreement with the 3 character guide. It gives a good base line for the worst of the best but there are far more sales that dont get posted than do. Watch the sales on the forums to get a good idea
