How much work/traffic would it take to earn $1 a day?

Just as the title suggests, i know you can't be too specific but you must have some idea?

Kind of a generic question considering different keywords are worth different amounts on different days.

what unit are you using to measure how much work you have to do? 150+ hrs? 200 hrs? 150 days before you see results?

 

The number of hours depends on the person and how they use their time. I would spend possibly 5-10 minutes a day to earn $1, if that. Its not much and if your doing it daily then the workload should be very light.

 

Sometime even a single click from US can give you more than $1.
And sometime you will get only $0.01/click.

Agreed, Depends on the keywords. You could do $1 a day with a nice finance blog easily.

 

My rule of thumb.
1% CTR
$0.20 for a click.
So, you need 5 click. and 500 impressions.

I am just curious as I am in my final year of a business management degree and may be able to put this to use on the net or at least have a better base understanding.

 

As many said, this is way too generic question and it is not the best method to approach earning money from internet. First create a value and that retrieve money from it.

Any ways to answer your question, I will just need 2 or 3 visitor to my loan website to get this $1. On the other hand I need 20-30 people for my generic website to get this done. So it is purely depending on the niche and the competition between the visitors.

 

it depends on your keyword. I got 1,5 dollars for a single click from 42 imressions and sometimes I get 0,02 dollars for a single click from 150 imressions

 

If your content is related to why a visitor is on your site and the ad's match the content, it shouldnt be hard. Search for keywords that pay better than others. The higher the keyword pays the more competition there is for the click!

It depends on a lot of factors but i will mention the two importants ones :
1- Niche of your website
2- Source of Traffic
generally ~150 visitors will make 1$ in the worst of cases.

 

As everyone has stated it depends on a few things, but for my 150 to 200 unique visitors daily I am making $5/day on adsense on the average this month. Last month I avg. $7/day and the month before that $7.80/day. With roughly the same amount of traffic, so the ads that are displayed have a lot to do with it too, as well as what the adword advertisers are paying for those keywords.

I have yet to add adsense to my newest site, that is also getting around 120 unique visitors a day now.

 

yea, just like others has said, depends on the niche and what keyword you are targeted. This will determine how much work you will put into it..

 

How many uniqe visitors per day depend from case to case, mainly 200-300, which language, keywords, page rank, unique content etc.

 

not sure,... if you get traffic about 50 UV and user like about your ads and they click it,,,, and you get traffic 1.000 but not one click your ads,.... what will you choose
