How much weight to get to the top of the MSN serps?

Hi All,

I'm in the process of setting up my co-op account and I'm wondering how thinly I can spread my weight accross individual ads to get each phrase to the top of the MSN / Yahoo serps?

I've got 50 - 100k of weight to play with (haven't finished adding all my sites yet so don't know for sure) and I need to know how much to assign to each text advert?

Anyone out there got any examples of serps success and how much weight you had to put behind it?

I've had success when using a weight of under a thousand but there are lots of other factors and it also obviously depends on how competitive the keyword is.

I know this thread is very old - but I take it by this statement you mean that if you put too much weight pointing at one site with one keyowrd you will have your site de-indexed?

If this is the case then can I ask what is a safe amount to point at a site per keyword phrase to make a significant improvement in SERPs yet avoid any of the obvious pitfalls of SE's like Google thinking your manipulating their algo and sandboxing you?

 

from reading the posts today, i think 7k was a good amount. You can go more, just make sure you do it gradually so they dont expect anything
