How Much Weight So It's Not a Waste of time

I have seen people with TONS of weight on the boards, and I was wondering, how much weight do you need to have so that the co-op isn't a waste of time?

    1000?

    10000?

You can see some effect with as little as 50 which I wouldn't consider a waste of time

One of my sites sat with weight of around 50 for a couple of months but after the last update the PR went to 3, the weight to only 305 but that was enough to get top 3 for a few terms on MSN which has resulted in a threefold increase in traffic.

I think the fact that it was in the coop with a little bit of weight was enough to push it to PR3. It really is a waiting game which requires a great deal of patience.

As yfs1 says, any weight will get you free ads so ROI is always infinite (unless you charge yourself more than $100 an hour, setting it up can be done in 15 mins depending on yuor set up).

Just don't expert instant results....it can take a couple of months before the search engines index the new pages, even then they can drop in and out every update, but it is well worth it.
Again perseverance and patience are the keys.

Thanks guys, I don't mind being patient, so I will give it some time and see. I have almost 100 weight, but I could get that to 200-ish by adding the code to a few more sites.

i30: add the coop to as much sites as you can, that will increase your weight directly.

then, put advertisements to these sites in co-op and your PR will increase (probably ..) and that will again increase your weight.

you can start out with 200, and end up with 2000 in a few weeks/monhts. (hopefully)

Thanks for the advice frankm, that's a good way of putting it.

I have a few other sites with PR that I can add the co-op to, so I will tak your advice.
