Does anybody have a rough idea how much weight would be needed for some of the popular keywords.

    Things like
online casino, viagra, web hosting, data recovery or anything else I have missed?

Just a rough guess will be fine, Im trying to get an idea of how powerfull the co-op actually is, I read a post about someone selling 900k weight a few months back, would that kind of weight help you rank near top10 for pretty much any keyword?

You can calculate it yourself (roughly).

Look up the current #1's AllInAnchor for the KW and the number of links. You will have to match/beat that.

Now you know how many links you need you can work out how much weight you need (not really weight but adspace you give). Simplified, you get one link back for each link that you give. So if you need 100K links to beat the #1 that means you will have to give the network 100K links. Divided by 5 ads per page you need 20K pages in the network with a decent PR. The actual weight isn't that significant.

    There you go...

The coop is powerful, but it isn't a miracle cure for rankings. For that kind of themes you would need good- themed links with big PR, I don't think there are many PR7 and PR8's in the coop.

The coop is just a great way to get some keywords ranked well at MSN and Yahoo.

No, it's not the only thing that matters but it's a BIG part of getting there. So considering he was after a rough estimate, I'd definitely go with this (it's one of the very few quantifiable variables in the algo).

Google bombing is the live proof that by means of sheer numbers you can get #1 for almost anything.
