How much value for untargeted traffic?

I know it's different based upon the type of site you have, and the type of advertising you are running. But, I'm curious to know the interest level you (as a website owner) would have in getting thousands of visitors to your website that would visit numerous pages on your site. Bear in mind, these would be actual people viewing your pages, not bots. Also note, that the users likely won't read your content, but will follow links.

Would you pay for this type of traffic?

Would you modify your site to capitalize on the traffic?

I think the going rate is something like $2-4 per thousand visitors, depending how this traffic is being generated.

Generally, untargeted traffic = worthless traffic.

I really prefer free traffic so no I would not pay and I constantly modify my site to capitalize.
