How much useful the "Content on TOP" strategy in Rankings?

    Hello DPs,

    i am confused about one strategy of On-page which is "Content on TOP" in Code but on design it will be coming on Bottom!

    is it useful for getting good rank in SERPs?
    will google give me more priority due to content comes first?!!

    I have seen a couple of places where they say the higher near the top content appears the better the rankings but I am yet to see some proof or test of such things. Meanwhile, for human visitors, it is indeed best to put quality content near the top of the page clearly visible at their line of sight, so the same should hold good for search engines also.

    yes... but i have one keyword Printed Circuit Board Manufacturing which is competitive! so i did put some relavant content on it and made the content on TOP in backend for rankings... i have did too much off-page too.. but still it is coming on 31st page in google!!!
