Hello I have an Adult site which is Alexa 50 000 and I don't get much conversions, not enough to pay for bandwidth. So how many uniques a day is needed to get at least 1 conversion?
It depends on how you make your visitors understand that they will get what they want if they join you. To my experience I can get 40% conversion rate when I ask people to join my program.
This is exactly the case. Over the years I've tried many things, and the disparities have been quite striking between different traffic sources. With highly targeted traffic you can get insane conversion rates and cash, especially if you pick a good niche. With bad traffic you can get more and more of it and essentially never see a dime.
sometimes traffic includes people who go to your site but then quickly leave, check your stats for a bounce rate to see how many people dont actualy stay on your site or check the inner pages / products
The problem with adult/warez/games/forums traffic is that is not from USA and its not people that will buy anything, so the convertion rate is very bad one. If you have a site, lets say as an example, for engagement rings poitend to Michingan users, its more likely you will see high convertion rates. The difference is: 1.- In some sites, people browsing are already looking for purchase something 2.- Some people of some countries has, not only better budgets, but even CC and uses to purchase online. Some other sites (lik adult or warez) are for people trying to browse anonymous... i dont think they will by much. My 2 cents.
