I am developing health blog.. i can achive 1st page listing for the particular keyword (search volume 22k) how much traffic should i expect? from google?
It depends on lots of things....how high on the first page you can get, how strong your competitors are, how good your title & meta description is, etc. You really need to get top 3 to get any kind of decent traffic for that keyword. Sometimes a high ranked website converts so well, that you won't get much traffic at all unless you rank above that site.
Well to get an idea of how much traffic you can get is by checking that keyword in the google traffic estimator, well if you have an adwords account.
Even with a top 3 ranking for a particular keyword, the title and description that you use for the page will pay a significant role in the amount of traffic received. A #2 listing with a good quality, highly relevant listing in google will many times outperform a #1 ranking with a so-so listing.
I 100% agree.. There are numerous, and I mean numerous, factors that will affect your ranking/position. This can change from day to day depending on your traffic, linkbacks, etc. I suggest creating a to-do list, which includes building linkbacks and a host of other SEO techniques and ensure you stay on top of everything. It depends on many factors like position, relevancy, competitors, etc. On what specific position are you listed? Another thing, Are you asking for only organic searches?
1 keyword cant give u that much traffic, whether its first page, u need to get more no. of keywords on google first page so more no of people can reach u.
Hmm, i am on first place for web hosting in Serbia. And from that position we have about 40 daily visits.
try to target more and more keywords towards top position. also analyse your competitors site and do your site marketing accordingly. but once you are on top for more and more keywords you will get more targeted traffic as well as returning traffic.
