How much traffic is roughly for Alexa 100,000 rank ?

for is not important about get rank or what ever, the important is you get the gola, is waste time have high ranking but never get the goal

 

Alexa is not a standard ranking algorithm.. You can even reach 100,000 just by installing alexa tool bar in your browser. No need to have good number of visitors at all.. Just load your site and keep refreshing..

 

Got 35000 monthly visits, had Alexa around 60000-70000 (fluctuates a bit)

 

It's an old thread but since it has been again bumped so let me tell you, I did managed to cross 100k fairly easily (all with genuine traffic) and yes, you are absolutely right GP, I got 70k rating with exact 33k Uniques.

 

If you have any intention of selling your site or promoting for advertising revenue, Alexa is looked as the only true benchmark. It is owned by Amazon and will continue to grow as the defacto standard.

Get used to it, it ain't gonna change.

 

My brother's site gets 200,000 visits per day and its #76 !!!

But like most guys said - You cant really know with alexa

 

Well, I get about 5000 uniques, and am around 100k -- guess my users don't have the toolbars

 

if you really wanna know how much traffic and accurate,
you can try "compete.com",

they have really good analytics,
and they show you monthly visitors~

I say it depends on the amount of pageviews you get so if one user viewed your site pages 10 times that counts as 10. My site jumped up to alexa 50,000 with a traffic of 10,000 page views and around 1200 uniques.

Anything above 10,000 is very variable. I have one getting 5k visitors/day and its in 19k.

 

Remember that in order for Alexa to rank the users to your site must have the alexa toolbar installed.

Now who would install it.

Mostly Webmasters, Programmers, Geeks.

So what sites will they visit the most, mostly SEO sites, Gaming sites, programming sites. Hence being ranked for those categories and others along those lines will take many more daily uniques.

Now lets say you run a cellular site like I do, I get 500 uniques a day, but i'm at 367000, another site that gets 200 uniques through the luck of the draw may be listed higher because their cellular site may from the luck of the draw or through more geeky content provide high conversions from webmasters and other alexa users. Or they are partaking in a traffic exchange program.

Alexa is good to make money with, alot of advertisers see you under 100k and will give you a few hundred a month for your measly traffic

What would be the most accurate way to know How much traffic other websites get?

 

- log in to their system (ask info from the owner) and check out their traffic stats?

 

I think,alexa is totally depends on toolbar installed .so,its not considered as real traffic ranking.

 

You can have alexa directly measure traffic and the rankings are pretty accurate if that is the case. If they are not actually measuring your traffic then of course their numbers will be off. The toolbar does help but really the toolbar is mainly to measure the value of a link.

 

No idea, because I rarely use Alexa. Although I check it for keywords trends.

We cannot neither trust alexa nor google page rank...so wat are we left with

 

i know its late but i believe the traffic is just relative aswell, more webmasters visiting = higher rankjust because of the Alexa Toolbar
