When you alexa ranking is in the top 100 then thats enough you have to be motivated and very determined, aim for the top and you cant go wrong.
If you are in a high paying niche ($50++ per 1000 views) I guess you could pull in a few hundred bucks a day with 1000 unique visitors that click around a bit (4-5 pages each).
Millions of uniques. To be considered popular will also depend on what and how good you offer services.
Whatever the niche is, traffic is money because without traffic you don't have money! enough traffic can be 50 unique a day if you are having enough for a good living, enough traffic can be 50000 unique day on another niche or in another country...
Well, it all depends on what you're trying to do. If your goal is to sell something online, you might want visitors that convert, so you'd rather have 10,000 visitors of which 10% converts, than 100,000 visitors of which only 1% converts... All depends on what you're trying to do!
I prefer less traffic and more pay. I would give 1000 untargeted visitors for your 10 targeted visitors any time. Traffic is just that.. traffic.. it does not pay the bills unless they are converted into sales. And untargeted traffic is the worst of all. VERY demoralising if you get 2k visits per day and make nothing from it... So how much traffic is enough? When I make enough money...
As few as possible! Give me visitors that buy - not thousands of hits from freebie seekers Quality not Quantity
You guys are absolutely right. It's what you do with your traffic that's important, whether you get 100 uniques a day, or 10,000. One of my blogs has been getting around 4,000 uniques a day, and I haven't monetized it at all. To me, that's a waste...but oh well.
I would be more happy with a 100 visitors per day if 50% buy something out from my website rather then 10000 who just visit.
depends on the genre of the site, with a proxy io would be happy with 15k (uniques) a day, with a directory I would be happy with 1000k uniques a day
The reason why entrepreneurs (including webmasters) fail is when they start feeling satisfied. Look at Pele, Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Senna, Sampras. They always strive for continuous improvement. That is why they are the greatest of all time (currently) in their respective disciplines. So when you are satisfied, you are on a downward spiral.
There is no limit. The more we get, the better it is. I would be happy if this stats goes up regularly.
200-300 uniques a day and I'm happy, but if it's a site I'm constantly working on I aim for at least 1000 uniques a day.
absolutely agree that conversion matters more. If 10 of 10 uniques converts it is better than 1 from 100. I would like to have 1000-1500 uniques that convert
