How much traffic increases with jump in PageRank?

I was curious to know how much is the sudden increase (if any) in site traffic if a site suddenly jumps in page rank from say PR 0 to PR 4 ? I know it differs from site to site but I just wanted to know from the experience of others about the approximate percentage rise that one can expect. One may consider here a site that gets say about 80% of its traffic through Google Search. Also presume that other factors (such as number of pages on the site) remain the same.

So, if the current traffic is T with PR 0, how much it will become with PR 4 ? Will it be 4xT or more? And, with PR 6 ?

And, normally how much time it takes to reflect such sudden change in traffic after the PR update?

It depends on the niche of your site and change in SERPS, not pagerank. Pagerank itself gives you nothing just numbers.

It wont be influencing traffic. Pagerank is just about your page value depending upon some factors like links to your site, and links from your site and what is the worth of those links etc.

Traffic is truly something you need to have by different means just as search engines and referrals. For search engines you need to get high ranking and for referrals you need to start link building in your niche.

But, is it not that everything else remaining the same, a page from high PR site will get listed in first 10 search results whereas a page of same quality from a low PR site will get listed somewhere beyond 100+ in search results. So, PR does have high relevance for where your page will get listed in search results and this will definitely affect the traffic from the search engines.

Moreover, SERP is also dependent on PR to some extent at least, since it is an important factor for SERP.

That's why I wondered whether a sudden jump in PR can make a big difference in site traffic, everything else remaining the same.

You're working on completely faulty logic.
First off - you don't know when your PR has gone up.
It isn't when you see a change in 'toolbar' PageRank - the changes in the algorithm happened weeks, possibly even months before that.

An increase in your PR won't lead to an increase in traffic for the most part.

That means no big traffic increase expected with PR jump. Thanks for the info.

Traffic volume may depends on how much effort you alot to promote your site. I think pr has nothing to do with your site traffic.

If you want a sudden increase in PR without using the black hat method I recommend that you must post your links on 50 PR3 above websites with high traffic everyday. In one month I will assure it to you that your website will be PR4 on the next PR update.
