I'm looking to transfer from Hostgator Shared Hosting to VPS. My account has been suspended tow times because of traffic spikes from Stumbleupon. My site tecrux.com gets about 5K pageviews everyday. It can go upto 25K pageviews per day due to traffic spike. Its hosted on Wordpress with W3 total cache enable. I want to know if i transfer the site to Hostgator Level 3 VPS, would it be able to manage up to 25K pageviews per day? These are the specs of server. CPU 1.13 GHZ RAM 768 MB Disk Space 30 GB Bandwidth 500 GB
It really all depends on how much diskspace/bandwidth your website is currently consuming? Thats usually a pretty good gauge for how much ram/cpu you will be needing.
well if you are transferring to VPS, then with that specs, it should not be a problem. VPS is suppose to give you guarranteed space and flexibility to expand resource anytime you need it to. =P
