To answer to your Question, A Few little 100 or 200 Visitors from Directories. And as all the friends Said : directories aren't used to get a Traffic, They are used to boost your search engine Rank.
Very little traffic. The backlink is a plus from a directory, and if someone does happen to visit then what the heck too. You are only out your time to submit to them. I don't spend a lot of time submitting to directories, but I drop a link into directories when I have nothing better to do and caught up on most my other online work.
So far i have submitted my website http://www.sybotechnologies.com to 1000 directories but not getting that much from them!
Directories provide back links and good position in search engines. Directories are best for creating back links and getting your site indexed in search engines.
Directories means the listing of directories on the websites. The website admin post their website url to particular directory for which their site belongs. Due to this the website link spread all around the web on each site. Due to this page rank and search in goggle become easy and fast .
absolutely no traffic comes to my site from directories. They just help in getting backlinks, nothing more.
I have never had any visitors to my website from a directory. They're good for my SERP, nothing more.
mainly directory is used to building up backlinks.Ofcourse there might be a little traffic, the more backlinks leads to higher page ranks and this will tend to higer popularity in google.
They only increase your PR, if you are interested in your PR / But anyway for every new web site, you could add it to 2,3 directories and then only PPC Advertising
submit your links in directories only for lncreasing of your backlinks, its no way that you got huge traffic for your site or blog
Directories give u only Backlinks , I don't trust to get traffic from Directories. most of you guys are repeating yourself.. over, and over, and over... 1: I submit to directories...I get nothing back 2: I get backlinks from directories 3: I get no traffic do you see where I am going... to me, all this sounds like a loop, in the end, no one gets anything, and your website is still buried under billions of other crap pages... so how is submitting to spam dir's going to help you in quality backlinks or even PR?? at some point, someone has to ask, does this really even work? search engines do what they want anyway...dont you think they already know that you submit your sites to spammy directories?
i'd have to agree, its mostly a ton of work for very little benefit. on top of that, there are so many doing this that SE's catch on and prevent this type of gaming the system
