How much traffic do you receive from directories?

I dint get more traffic from any directory. But they are providing good back links to me.

 

I am not receiving huge traffic from directories. yahoo and dmoz directory only providing traffic to me.

 

I knew all along that the directory was used to build the link, and if any traffic problems and the amount of income to sales may depend on the web directories that we follow

 

I get traffic but very low. some times the directories review team only visit the site submitted

 

I get a handful of hits a day from directories. Most of them are niche directories that rank for some of the text in their page. In addition, there are some niche directories that are widely used by people interested in the niche. I get as much as 10 hits a day from some of them. Not a lot, but some of the traffic will stick, some will give me natural links, and of course the SEO benefit is huge from a directory site that ranks for keywords in it's niche.

 

i get rather low traffic from directories, but they certainly help a great deal for rankings and site authoritativeness

 

A small fraction of one percent of my total traffic comes from directories.

I did get traffic from a few directories at some point in the past. But it has dropped since! However, I do think submission to good directories help you rank better on the searches, thereby providing indirect traffic. Also, for new sites directories serve as the ladder to Web credibility.

 

I receive a small amount of traffic from directories; dmoz sends an average of 45 uniques/month and another sends me an average of 200 uniques a month. Although minimal, it is targeted.

Directorys are no longer useful even for back link building.. except maybe a 10 - 15 authoritative niche related ones.

And they are last place to look for traffic if you ask me..

 

I have no traffic from directories but i got a lot of backlinks which helps me to get ranked.

 

I'm unsure on the comment about directories being just for link building. I think maybe thats only because of how the directories are promoted though. I'm hoping to run a directory which will actually get people some work - because I'm not going to just sit and collect listings - I'm going to actively promote the directory to people that would like to find web professionals. If directories were only used for link building surely Google would just ignore them completely?

 

i don't know wheter i got one or not. but my intention is not for traffic, rather than just building the backlinks

 

I didn't received any traffic from Directory Listing but if we put links on Big Brand Directory Lists like partner links, banner etc like vmoptions, v7n, Directory Critic then we may gets some good traffic to our sites.

 

directory submission is not converted into traffic, but help you to increase your backlink which is very necessary for increasing trafffic.

I notice a few visit from directories every time I look at traffic but basically none. They are only good for backlinks.

 

We get a few dozens daily visits from niche/industry targeted directories so that converts to few sales per week from these directory. It's a bonus since we did directory submission only for backlinks.
