traffic in itself is no use, in fact it can just cost you money (bandwidth etc). you have to get targeted traffic.

i have a small site that gets 3 - 7 visitors per day but makes me $300 pm from $20 - $150 products that I promote on there. The site is optimised for product names and reviews, so it is very specific in terms of the traffic it gets, and it makes sales.

i also have site that get 2000 visits per day and hardly make a sale... i would rather have 10 visits per day and $10 per day than 10 000 visits and no sales...

as stated before, your ads stand out as ADS and not something interesting.

make your ads look like your site. I have done way better using text ads that I control the look than using images where I have no control.

I know image ads are higher bids, but without a good CTR, they do nothing. ANd switch up the ads. People get habituated to ad placements and colors.

Yeah, that's like asking "how many customers does a store need to make money?"

    What's the store selling?

What are the customers looking for?

    How good is the packaging?

    The sales staff?

It'd be nice if all you needed to make sales was lots of traffic because then you could just buy junk traffic from anywhere and be done with it. But it doesn't work that way.

If you're getting traffic, and not making sales, then your problem is either you're not getting people who would be interested in what you're selling (not targeted), or your ads/sales copy aren't doing a good enough job of convincing them to buy. So those are the areas I'd look at.

Could also be that the product you're selling just isn't something people want.

    Keep at it though.

could you not offer affiliate offers from clickbank?

Hacks, tips and cheats, WOW etc?

Theres a ton of stuff paying 70% commission.

Build a list and sell em that stuff, plus place banner ads for those products on your pages?

Unique visitors is what you should be looking at daily. But I do think with that much traffic a day your conversion should be higher.
