How much traffic can you get from directories

From my experience I see no traffic from the directories I submitted More than 100 of my Client websites in yahoo & botw paid directories but no traffic. it only gives back link..

 

I would say that directories aren't for getting traffic.

 

Directories offer 0 or almost no traffic. Soul purpose of those is getn backlinks and the ones with high pr are usually required to pay some fee. Dmoz=overrated, yahoo=to expencive!
Google is soul proof that directories like dmoz are not functional and it exists just to be.
Dmoz actually as directory deserves to be downgraded to 0 functionality, 0 pr and to be marked as unusable.

 

I agree that niche directories are better for traffic - The more specific directories are better

 

I cannot get too much traffic from directories, but I wanna increase it. Maybe directory submission is not a very good way to get more traffic.

 

you will not get lots of traffic from directories, maybe 1 or 2 visitors per a month

 

Actually the main purpose of web directories is not to get traffic. Their main purpose is to get backlinks for your website as backlinks increases PR of the website and improves it's ranking in the search engine results.

 

Directory Submission is not a good source of traffic. It can only help to build back links. If you're expecting a lot of traffic then you've to start something else like article submission and email marketing..

 

In order to get high quality traffic from google.com,you will have to make it think that your site is qualified for first page in search result.Building backlinks is a way to do that thing I guess.

 

Some older or popular directories (Like DMOZ) do send some traffic. However directories as a whole aren't good sources of traffic.

 

It's a long and slow road to get to allot of traffic but really its about getting your links out there and growing the site just stick with it.

 

directory submissions can improve our page rank no doubt in that but we have to do some other work to improve our page rank
by doing bookmarking , article , profiel etc

 

Some niche directories which are recognised as a resource by the community they service will send traffic. But you don't submit to directories for traffic. They are link directories and allow you to build targeted links and to position yourself in the search results.

 

In my opinion you do not get any traffic from a link direcory. The only things you get are back links and better Page Rank

No one can tell you the exact number, but mass directory submission can surely fetch you good traffic.

 

i think if you be lot if you in the top rank of the directory , if your ranking in directory are quite behind then your traffic only will increase by few hundred. Unless you are in the top 5, then it will help you alot. But some directory measure ranking cannot be trust which is fake.

 

You can still get some traffic from directory sites but not much.

Maybe as a part tme jober, how much does that cost or can got what figures has not been a question till that time, and we may be really careful for the quantity but not the quality.
