I am thinking of creating a forum for a niche audience, and would like to know how much traffic and audiences before a forum can start earning four-digits income from advertisements. This forum is for my personal interest, but would also like to earn decent income on the side. Thank You
Frankly, unless it is highly specialised/ premium niche (like asbestos injuries, private jet owners, lamborghini owners) 500 unique users is NOT enough to earn 4 digit income.
yeah.. im interested to know this as well.. what company would that be? LoL.. or company as in Google Adsense and all that.. Is that it?
I'd like to know too. I have a gaming forum that sorta got me into the internet business. I don't take it too seriously, and was just using it as a way to teach myself the ins and outs of this business. I'd like for it to eventually be successful, but it's taken a backseat to some other projects, for the moment.
It really depends on the niche on which companies to target.. if its a gaming forum, target the game sellers, manufacturers, or even hardware resellers. Adsense alone can bring in an income, but I would diversify a little.. sell ads directly to the companies cutting out adsense.. and see how that goes.
yep.. for forums.. there is ample space to advertise on.. and also the ctr is generally not high.. hence try cpm based advertising.
