I have been asked for a price to sell my domain www.oaktreewebdesign.co.uk I have replied requesting their offer, but how would I go about deciding whether this is fair or not? I have been using this domain as a central point for all other web projects and I do use the domain for email too, so it would cause a reasonable amount of hassle to contact all of my existing clients and change to something new, but if the price is right, I could be persuaded. I would be grateful for your thoughts. Jon
Get appraisal done by professionals - and I guess low $xx is rather less - if you have an established business and if the site has been on for a while .. $xxx if someone is keen to buy it from you and you have to start from scratch (and buy domain, and build it all over) ...
I'm not sure that the hassle is worth a few hundred dollars, but I'll wait to see what gets offered. I guess it all depends on how badly the buyer wants this domain. Thanks for looking. Jon
What about the Pagerank and the link populartity of that domain name? If it din't have both, it'll go for low $$ as said by ankit.
Well from my experience and short appraisal. This domain is a valid PR2. Has average backlinks in the mid xxx. Created: 2007-10-30 Expires: 2009-10-30 2 years old. Developed site for design. Most probably if you get request from end user its around $500 ~ $1,500 (if big company)
