How much to register 1,000-10,000 .com domains?

The best deal I have generally seen from a reputable company for a single .com domains is 1and1 for $5.95. What type of volume discounts have people been able to achieve? I may be looking to register anywhere between 1,000 and 10,000 .com domains and was wondering what the lowest price from a decent provider was. Thanks.

$5 is lowest per .com i have seen so it would cost 5,000 dollars to 50,000

At $5 per domain, the registrar would be selling at a considerable loss. Be sure to look at 2nd year + registration cost.

The 1and1 price seems to be ongoing at $5.99. It is a good point about the second year on - I am looking for a stable price not a "promo" deal

You could register bulk domains via Godaddy and just use a coupon code?

I'm pretty sure you can't use coupon codes with godaddy bulk registration, but I may be wrong.

As far as I know the best "bulk" deal you can get with godaddy is $6.65 for 201 and more domain names. This is still not as good as the 1and1 $5.95 offer.

Does anyone know if they can add the 10% coupon code for GoDaddy to the already reduced bulk price?

netfirms offers 4.95 usd for the first year , and transferring out is really easy but would be a pain for 10000 domains , but if you are really serious about registering 10000 domains it is easy this is not a small number.
Contact their supports (godaddy, moniker, namecheap etc) and get your price I am sure that they'll be interested. (you can share the code with us :p)

As I said before, I dont think you can. However, to confirm, I checked and their isnt even the field for coupons (that I could see).

There is a coupon code field the step before you pay for it, it's not at the start.

If you're really planning on buying that many domains I have question why finding the cheapest is so important. Trying to manage a portfolio that size is considerable work, anything below $6.22 is operating at a loss and makes you wonder.

i am sure you wont be able to find good .com by hand regging. so why to waste so much money on 10000 low quality domains. Just think, you would be spending so much every year on renewing them.

Personally with that much money i would buy a couple of quality domains in the aftermarket. and you spending only $15 every year on renewing two quality domains.

This is valid only for one domain they won't say anything for 5-10-100 but I am sure it will be problem for 10000 domains.
