How much $$$ to rank nicely for sports betting?

    What type of money-- also how would I do it--- would I need to spend to rank 1st page on google for the term sports betting?

    Is it even possible?

    it's possible. best, but most expensive at first, it to get permanent links. Monthly links are cheaper in the short run, but will end up costing you in the long run.

    Buy permanent links from relevant sites. It will take longer to rank well this way. But it will work, and save you money in the long run. You'll have to be patient though, which is key in this business.

    It's hard to say how much it will cost, but I'll throw my guess out there $2000 worth of permanent links from the right pages.

    that's exactly the conclusion i came to after posting. i appreciate your reply. only problem is, a lot of these sites never check their email!! arghhh!

    You will need a lot more than $2,000 ;) Plan on spending that every month, along with blogging, article submitting and working full time for at least 6 months to even get an idea.

    Sports betting is a huge term, i dont think $2000 would get you anywhere. If it could then damn it would be easy to spend $2k on a betting affiliate site rank top and make tens of thousands a day from it. For a term like that your going to need an old and trusted domain to start with in the first place.
    I would think over $50k.

    i agree actually, i might be able to rank on page 10 with $2000 if i'm lucky.

    best bet is word of mouth

    Yeah sports betting is a pretty competitive marketplace, and a lot of cash is spent there, so you would need a substantial bank roll to fund a rise to the top 10.

    That, of course, depends on how efficient your link building campaign is. Who knows, you could probably do it for as little as a $100/month over the course of several months or it could cost several thousand per month indefinately.

    It is possible to get high in the ranks, but I don't know about #1 as the person has the keyword in his domain name, his title and meta tags.

    But, if you really want to get up there and have a reasonable budget you could contact me. I am ranked #6 in a keyword with twice as many results. :)
