Hi there, I need some opinions/advice....what would be a fair pay-out to my affiliates for sending visitors to my college dating site. I would pay per lead. "$omething" for every free sign-up. Thanks J
Hi Activeweb, Fair is a very vague word - what I would be considering in your situation is what would be best for the site in the short/medium/long term. How much do you expect to earn on average for each free sign up? Does your site already have a user base? If not, you may want to consider paying 100% (or more) of the amount you will earn per signup to encourage your affiliates to get your site active, then drop to perhaps 25% to 50% once everything is running smoothly.
The service I offer is a free dating service. I want to build my membership base up quickly so that I can turn it into a profitable venture. I was thinking that it would be more cost effective to pay per lead then to put $ into a PPC campaign using adwords, overture...etc. since the bids are a little high. I already run another profitable dating site with an affiliate program that pays out 40% for the lifetime of the referred member. (Cookies are also set to never expire) The college dating site is free though...so I need to pay per lead. (I was thinking around 25 cents per lead) It should be really easy for affiliates to convert their traffic into $ since the service is 100% free Thoughts? is 25 cents to cheap?
