And another question that came into my head related to this topic.

Is better to buy a domain with a big hosting, and add subdomains ? Or separate domains and hostings ?

Have a look into getting a reseller webhosting account, you can get your domain name to sell hosting from, then create sepearate acconts for users.

If your other websites which you are planning to host are some what relevant to your main website then hosting other website as addons and subdomain would be fine but if those site are completely irrelevant to the main website then probably you should host them on separate domains and separate hosting.

Yep, for multiple niches you should buy separate domains.

buy a shared hosting plan that permits multiple domains on one plan or you will go broke developing....i use cirtexhosting and servage -- cirtex is more user friendly(cpanel/fantastico) if you are going to go with cirtex I am an affiliate and would love the referral:) - most of my sites are hosted with them -- good 24 hour support -- no major issue in the 7 months i have been with them. proces are good to

Speaking from experience, getting a web hosting off the ground can easily run into the thousands of dollars, since it is an extremely competitive industry.

I wouldn't suggest a reseller account if you're serious about doing this.

Just a few costs you may probably want to consider.

    A) Web Design - $500 (The face of your company, and thus must be absolutely perfect and professional)
    B) Server Fees - $60-$70/month
    C) Staff Fees - Really depends on who you hire here, but could run into about $200 or so a month.
    D) Marketing - Depends on what you want to do, but could run into $1000 by itself easily.

It's easy to grab a reseller account, a domain and a $50 template, but you need to ask yourself why your customers should buy off you and not a larger, more affordable company with 24x7 staff and a bucket load of money in case things go wrong?

Check out www.webhostingtalk.com if you want to learn the ropes. Great community there.

I wish you the very best of luck. :)

He wants to know which is better

    1) get a shared hosting (many domains to add on under one account)

    2) get separate hosting with company A & B & C to run each domain

He wants to do multiple niche websites for all those domains....so which is better

Plse read what the OP said.

Get small accounts for each site with different hosting companies that will allow you to upgrade your account when the time comes.

Get a reseller/multiple domain host and go from there.

There is ZERO reason to spread your domains around different hosts unless you want to run some big link trading scheme or just want to waste a lot of money.

You just need a shared hosting account that will allow you to host multiple domains. Check out hostica, hostmonster, godaddy etc. you should find something for less than 10 bucks a month. Considering that you are starting disk space and bandwidth should not be an issue.
