    Hi there,

When I need sites designed and don't have time to do it myself I run the details through http://www.cheaperagain.co.uk and usually get a few interesting quotes back!

    All the best,

    Hey there!

I think it would only cost around 300-500.

Considering dreamincode is forum based, all it takes is a few static pages to link to it.

The rest is customizing the forum.

You can get a site designed from $100-$1500.

Just remember you get what you pay for. 99 designs has some good designers, which usually averages about $500 for design.

Is phpBB3 not an option? I use it and I think its waay better than phpBB2 and best of all its free! Not to mention its totally customizable and there are tons and tons of free templates & styles for it all over the net. You should consider it before shellling out hundreds on a site without researching the free options first. Also phpBB3 is more advanced than version 2 and they have made it harder for spammers to auto spam the forums. Good luck!

    From $50 to $50,0000.

I guess it really depends on who you talk to, and what you want. Generally though, People/Companies do charge alot for a custom design but I guess they have to eat too right?

Getting a forum built is half the battle, you will need to drive traffic there as well

Ya it does depend on what you want to achieve. Traffic is what we all want, and need. So I guess if your not on a budget you could get something built and buy traffic from the search engines and other relevant sites. I do agree that you need to stand out as far as look and feel too. So its really a preference.

I would say learn how to do it yourself.. So then you know your site, understand your site. Then when you sell it, you are not in the dark.
