How Much To Charge?

    Hi guys,
I've had a request for a couple of banners on my site. I've never sold a banner before so would be clueless as to know what to charge. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

The site is http://www.joysandsorrows.co.uk and the banners would be sitewide. The site is PR 6 with some PR 3/4 on internal pages. It attracts roughly 1k uniques daily.

I generally charge $15 per month per text link in the upper right hand corner with people who buy five months getting a sixth for free.

With that in mind, what should I charge for a "140 by 140px HTML-Banner which consists of our logo, some text links and text." From the examples I've seen, it will probably have around 4-5 text links on it. The banner will be going where the Google Ads currently are in the middle column of http://www.joysandsorrows.co.uk

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I'd charge them double whatever you make off the google ads. So, if you make $25/month off that ad, I'd charge them $50. At least, thats a decent way to get the ball rolling, you can always make it a short term contract so that you'll have the option to bump up the price after it's over.

    $40-$60 is fine.

I'd say $40-$50 is pretty fair.
