    Hey all,

A contact of mine has a very large site (Tech related) and he is looking to sell advertising soon. I would be very interested to hear your opinions as to how much he should charge for banner ads...

The site is PR5, daily uniques are around 11,000 and daily pageviews are at about 40,000. SERPS are very high too.

    Thanks for any advice :)

I can bid it upto $70 a month.
Just my opinion. Not sure of the industry trends.

The site cannot be PR5...the homepage or another page is probably PR5. So the advertisement on a page which is PR0 is worth much less as compared to the PR5 page :)

What I did (when others wanted to advertise on one of my sites) was looked up other sites that were similar to mine, emailed owners and asked how much they would charge me. I introduced my self as a potential advertiser. I got a few quotes, and I just figured I would charge the average of what the other owners said they would charge.

    Ok, thanks for your opinion.

Absolutely, the site has over 250,000 pages indexed in Google and they do indeed range between PR5 - PR0.

    Sneaky...I like it :)

    Other suggestions welcome :)

You can do it many ways such as by CPM or by PPC.
But i would suggest you do CPM and PPC together coz it will benefit you.
You can charge up to $0.30/click and $3/CPM since your site is popular.

Check out sellers at dp's bst section in advertiser's category and 'link sales'. You would get a right idea of charges based on your niche.
