I recently sold one of my sites to a competitor and now they want me to do some SEO/PPC/Social Networking stuff for them. So I've never done this stuff for someone else, so I was wondering how most people figure out what to charge for PPC campaign management? Most of their campaigns are already set up, they just need someone to tend to them and tweak them for maximum conversions. Should I charge hourly or a set percentage of the ad spend per month? Thanks for any insight!
Its different for different agencies and also what competition in your area charges and their pricing models. In my market, most charge between 15-25% of the monthly spend for basic maintenance. Organic SEO and the rest is of course more.
I normally charge between 10 and 15 % depending on the client, maybe i am under charging?? what does anyone else think??
Haha I dont think theres any way I could get 20%....I'm thinking about asking for like 5% to manage it 2 days a week. I think the budget with AdWords alone is like $500-600 a day, so I really don't think they'd pay me 3000-3200 a month to manage their account.
If they are willing to spend that much per day you SHOULD charge more. We charge a higher % as their ad spend budget goes up. If they can afford that they can afford to have it professionally managed. And with that spend, they/you will get a dedicated adwords rep.
