    Hi there,
I have been asked to quote an amount to charge for writing PPC Adwords copy for 26 ad groups and around 300 words in each group. Any input on suggested rates to charge would be helpful, thank you!

Are you going to be expected to set up the ad groups yourself? If so, charge $15-$20 per hour. If not, I would charge a project fee.

Just a hint: Sign up for a Yahoo advertiser account. Yahoo has a great keyword generation tool.

Too little is charged these days for copywriting. $15-20 is not enough for something like this i don't think. If the employyer wasnts the ad copy to be any good they have to pay more than that. I would talk to them about their budget and slip in that you are a professional. if they wnt a monkey to do it they will have gone for the cheapest option.

Well that would depend on whether the OP actually is a copywriting professional with ad copy experience and provable results to back up the rates. $15-20 / hr might be fine for a new copywriter or someone who's just a content writer looking to give ad copy a try... quite different games. If she has years of experience with those provable results, she can get away with charging quite a bit more.

...and if that were the case she would not be asking what to charge.

    OP, what did you decide?

Most likely.... unless her experience were with other areas in copywriting (like long sales copy), and she's trying to establish a rate structure for shorter ad copy. :)
