I have a genuine website with 120,000 unique visitors a month. I've been thinking about privately selling ad-space (250x250 pixels, in left sidebar) instead of my usual ad networks. I am just wondering how much to charge per thousand impressions? I found the following online but I'm not really sure how accurate that is.
Where have you read this data? I don't think that G adwords might be charging that much. Strange and if this is truth then each who have their website highly ranked in Alexa will be millionaire in days.
Google adsense range from $ 2.00 to $ 15. 00 in normal cases. IF you can fix your eCPM to $1.00 in starting. Once you start getting advertise you might think for increasing it.
Thanks for your replies guys. I provided a link to my source in the quote in my original post. This is not about Google really... I want to sell my ad space privately to a website, promising them at least 80,000 impressions a month. I am just not sure what to charge. It's a prime spot so I don't want to charge what Google pays.
you can start with $0.50 CPM, then depends on the sales. If good, then increase it. If set too high CPM, you probably will earn very less.
