I am the administrator of a new niche forum that's based locally. I am currently reaching out to stores in the area for banner advertising, how much is a reasonable charge per month/year? Here is the stats of the website for the past month: Visitors: 1,947 Absolute Unique Visitors: 868 Pageviews: 20,404 Pages per Visit: 10.48 Time on Site: 12 minutes, 49 seconds Bounce Rate: 33.95% New Visits: 41.81% Breakdown of Traffic Sources: Search Engine: 38.67% Direct Traffic: 35.39% Referring Sites: 25.94% Any other information needed? I'm currently charging about $200 a year but since this is my first website where I'm actually charging a flat rate for advertising (as opposed to Adsense), I'm not really sure if I'm over/undercharging. Help would be appreciated, thanks!
www.azmagicplayers.com It's a site based on the card game Magic: the Gathering for local players in Arizona. I'd say there's quite a market for it - there are other successful locally-based Magic forums in Ontario (www.mtgontario.com) and in the Northwest USA (www.northwestmagic.com).
Well, I don't own any membership sites of my own, but I can say that I have advertised my horse ranch website on a similar platform and they charge about $125 + taxes per year. Now you need to keep in mind that there are probably over 100 other ranches advertising on the same site and this is only for a clickable link with our ranch's name. It would really depend on how exclusive the advertising is.
Would you happen to know the stats of that website? How would you compare it to my stats (listed on the opening post)? And by exclusive, it would be a maximum of 20 slots, because that's about how many stores there are that I believe would be interested in advertising (though my guess is that it would be far less). Since I am new to this whole advertising thing, how "exclusive" is exclusive (could hundreds of sites advertising on the same site be considered exclusive or just 2 sites advertising, etc)?
