How much to ask for advertising on my site ?

I was contacted today about selling direct advertising on one of my sites. I have never done this before and I was wondering how much to ask.

The site gets around 150 uniques a day and is about a very specific niche. The advertiser that contacted me sells products in this particular niche. The site is ilisted in the top 5 in the google search results for all the main keywords. The site makes around 100$ a month in adsense.

I was thinking somewhere in the range of 30 to 50 euros a month.

Any thoughts about this would be much appreciated.

 

I think it would depend on the type of advertising. For example, a banner would probably cost more than a text link...

 

when someone contacts you and you are unsure, ask them a few questions before committing to a price.

Enquire as to what they expect from their ad, a ballpark of what they are willing to pay, what sort of ad, are they looking for a long term placement.

Always ask what they are looking to pay first as you may be surpised as to what they are willing to pay.
