Took me a couple days but i wasn't selling my own products i was selling host gator packages. But i have stopped doing that now and have moved onto another project.
I think it took me about a month. That was because I started with PPC and very competitive niche. Wasted about $70 on PPC without making a sale. But then I got a sale after writing 2 articles and publishing them on EZA.
I researched and time wasted for 2 months (probably years really ) Then I lost money for two months trying to sell digital eBooks on eBay (only approx $100 loss or something like that), because of all the listings fees were more than my profit I soon after started making a profit, but kept reinvesting it and didn't actually cash any money out for 9 months :O . In this time I was working 40 hours a week in a full time job, and doing internet marketing for probably another 40 hours a week - on evenings, and weekends. Finally after this 9 month period I quit my full time job, and started paying myself
I haven't made any sales yet. I used a $100 Google PPC coupon which produced plenty of hops but no sales. Now I'm working on article marketing, I have about 20 articles up. No sales yet, but I figure I should see something eventually...hopefully...
I actually made my first sale the same night I put up my first PPC campaign pointing to a review style landing page. This was after about 2 months of solid research and just learning all about IM and what to do though. I remember I was so excited when I woke up and saw that sale I thought the whole day sales would start coming in lol. After all, the PPC campaign was running for maybe like 8 hours and it made me $30 from Clickbank so it had to keep making more right? I was wrong of course and while that same campaign did continue making me sales over the next few months, I was paying quite a lot for clicks and I wasn't really profiting that much. I ended up selling that entire site and shutting down my Adwords campaigns and now I've moved more onto SEO and articles to drive traffic which I enjoy a lot more. If you're first starting out, I highly recommend you don't start with PPC unless you got money to blow. I was lucky to make sales on my first campaign from day 1, but I tried about 4 other campaigns with different markets and landing pages over the next few months and all of them failed and I lost hundreds on em.
Took me about two weeks way back when. Within a week I was making 4 to 5 sales a day until the niche I was in died off. These guys saying they started making sales in a few hours need to share some tips.
I think it was a month .. I wanted to give up every single day as I was not seeing any profits. That was 2 years ago. Al.
I actually started receiving cheques every 2 weeks from CB, starting about 2 mths ago...I can hear you saying GREAT but I have no idea what I am selling lol. It is one of those cases where I probably became an affiliate for some product and can't remember what it was. I don't even know my login details for CB - which is so very frustrating, as I would love to advertise this product, so as to gain even more $$. I figure that I probably signed up some time in Jan/Feb of this year and have since upgraded my pc to win7, having lost any usernames, passwords etc that may have been stored on my old XP system. I have since opened a new CB account and have yet to do a proper search for some good products to sell. Most of my time of late has been to try and find some login details for my other account. I wish you a very successful time with CB
For me its like magic wand. I made a review site in 3 hours and done social bookmarking with top 3 sites and next morning there was a blue bar showing in my stats. I earned $20 in commission. Some people can call this as a luck but I will say its right action at right time...
I wrote a few articles and within about 5 hours I saw my first sale roll in. But this was after about a month of doing nothing but reading and soaking in knowledge about internet marketing before I even attempted to take a shot at it myself. It was a huge motivation seeing that first sale come in. Made me work that much harder to make sure the next sale and all the sales I've made up until now.
it took me 2 months...1 month of just reading and taking no action and the next month of writing a whole lot of articles and building blogs. My first sale came from yahoo answers though...that was almost 7 months ago...
The first day I decided to "try out" clickbank, I wrote up a hub that linked to what was previously a site I had set up for AdSense and which I switched that day to be a landing page for a clickbank product instead. That very night I made my first sale, and I then decided that Clickbank was well worth looking into seriously. Funny, though, because I didn't make another sale for over a month! I'm glad I made that first sale right off the bat, since it motivated me to to stick with it through the first couple of lean months when I made virtually no other sales.
It took me nearly a year, I brought product after product after product and only ever did half the course and then brough another one. It took me a year to realise that there are steps which every person has to take in order to make money online. I would have found this out had I kept with the courses from the beginning.
@inets Certainly you didn't try hard enough .. Some people are able to start making a living after their first two or three months online .. Not sure why it took you so long, was it maybe because you've got all confused by buying all sorts of lies ? Al.
